Lauren A. Spalding is in year twenty of her career in the music industry where she started out as a publicity intern at Capitol Records the day after graduating high school. Since, her career has taken her through countless twists and turns, with the road ultimately leading to having her own music consulting company, The Spalding Company. As the one and only employee, she splits her time acting as Executive Director of FEMME HOUSE, the 501(c)(3) foundation she co-founded to create more equitable opportunity for women and gender-expansive folks in music; running the music program at W San Francisco; hosting radio shows and livestreams, facilitating panels, and creating safe spaces to address community building for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ creatives, mental health, and the state of music industry culture; mentoring university students and aspiring creators as a part time lecturer at UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music; and living her pre-teen Missy Elliot dreams as a songwriter and vocalist.
